Realtime 3D Reconstruction using Low Cost Scanners
Generating digital models or real objects is a challenging problem and has several aspects. In the talk we focus on capturing the geometry of 3D objects. We recall basics principles for 3D scanning and consider in particular the capabilities of low cost scanners (e.g Microsoft Kinect). We describe realtime algorithms for geometry reconstruction and present several applications.
