Visual Analytics: Challenges and Opportunities
In this talk I will present and reflect on work we did in Eindhoven in visual analytics and information visualization. What are challenges, and how to make progress? Some issues are handling of messy data, dealing with models, and supporting the user. Partial solutions are shown, addressing domains ranging from medicine prescriptions to maritime safety, for multivariate, network, and other data-types, but there are still plenty of challenges ahead.
