Using Extended Reality for Provider Training in Neonatal Resuscitation, plus Authentication and Psychology Research in Virtual Reality

Abstract:

In this talk, I will describe the multi-year effort of my research group in the area of Healthcare Provider Training in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program in Newfoundland, Canada. I will present different iterations of the software we have developed, from Virtual Reality to Mixed Reality. I will also discuss the latest results of the user study that we are carrying out for this application. In addition, I will describe my research on 2-step authentication using Mixed Reality and Mobile Phones. Finally, I will discuss research related with to a collaboration with the Department of Psychology in my role as founding member of the VR Forensics Lab.
